The Bléharies bridge spans the Scheldt and forms the main connection between the villages of Bléharies and Laplaigne. After the original structure was destroyed in World War I, the current concrete structure was built in 1953 during the straightening of the river. After a thorough renovation in the spring of 2026, the bridge will be fully open to traffic again. From this height, passers-by have a beautiful view of the busy river and the surrounding nature.
