Eyecatching carving of a Swaledale sheep's head on the side of this bench. The Yorkshire Dales National Park has a number of volunteer carvers where skilled woodworkers produce carved posts, benches, trail markers and other wildlife‑themed sculptures. This is likely by David Grosvenor, who has carved multiple pieces for Freeholders’ Wood, Aysgarth Falls, and the surrounding paths.
