Storøya is an island in the Tyrifjord that can be reached via a bridge. Right at the entrance to the island is a marina for small boats.
Much of the island is occupied by the local golf course; in the southern part there are a few vacation homes, in the west there is a farm, and at the eastern tip lies the Storøya Nature Reserve. It was designated a protected area on January 15, 1988.
