Spro Caves, which are also known as Spro Gruve or the Crow Silver Mines, are an abandoned silver and stone mine located on the Nesodden peninsula. They date back to the 1880s, but it was mainly active between 1904 to 1918. You have a main tunnel which plunges about 30 metres into the mountain before it opens out into a large sunlit cavern that shimmers with the trace elements of a variety of mica minerals, including muscovite, which make the walls shimmer like silver.
