In the Bridgend area, you'll find one of the most impressive visual tributes to guitar legend Rory Gallagher. This large-scale mural was created in 2022 by the talented artist Nik Purdy. The artwork depicts Rory in his element with his iconic, weathered Fender Stratocaster, based on a classic concert photo. The location was not chosen by chance: the mural stands near the place where Rory's family lived around his birth in 1948.
