The building housing the pumping station was built between 1908 and 1917 and subsequently upgraded in 2007. The plant is located on the Parmetta canal, and since 1910 it has guaranteed the drainage of rainwater even from the lower-lying lands of the Mezzano and Colorno hinterlands.
