Hiking
The two monumental headframes of the former coal mine in Beringen, located on the be-MINE site, are restored icons of Limburg's mining history. They once carried the shaft wheels for elevators that reached depths of up to 850 meters. Both shafts are protected as industrial heritage sites and have recently been restored, including new lighting, and form a central part of the largest preserved mine site in Europe.
