Beginning near the Jack’s Creek Campground in the Pecos Wilderness, Jack’s Creek Trail climbs steadily through mixed conifer forest and open meadows before reaching alpine terrain near Pecos Baldy Lake. The well-marked path follows the creek for much of the way, offering reliable water sources and shaded stretches. It’s one of the most direct and scenic routes into the high country, connecting to the Skyline and Cave Creek Trails.
