A characteristic of Montefosca is the Blumari carnival, symbolic figures dressed in white cloths, with tall pyramidal headdresses and cowbells hanging from their backs, who perform a skipping race around the village, thus announcing the expulsion of the spirits and the awakening from the winter death.
