These trenches in the Loonse- and Drunense dunes were part of the German Munitions Ausgabe Stelle (Munitions Ausgabe Station) located in this forest. In total, the trenches were about a kilometer long and zigzagged along the terrain. In several places, the trenches are still clearly visible.
