Built in 1991, the Aileach is the first replica of a Hebridean birlinn (or West Highland galley) ever built. She is 40 feet long, clinker-built in larch on an oak frame. She has sixteen oars and a square sail.
Her voyages take her to numerous destinations in the Hebrides and as far as the Faroe Islands.
