At this point, the Sentiero Verzasca leads through this wild and romantic patch of earth, along the uninhabited buildings of an old settlement. These and other hamlets also show how much the actual population of the Verzasca Valley continues to decline in contrast to the nearby towns.

The houses in the settlement are apparently privately owned (signs indicate this) and are currently being renovated (autumn 2025). The old path through the settlement is closed. Instead, a path runs near the river, which also leads to the suspension bridge.
