The Labersbach is the largest of the mountain streams that flow into the Moselle on this slope between Cochem and Treis. It rises above the Allmesch district in a section of forest and is fed by many small streams on its way into the Moselle. It is the only one of the four large mountain streams in this section of the route that can be accompanied on a hiking trail almost to its mouth. The mouth area is partly continued underground, because there should be a railway line at this point.
