Franz Senn Memorial Stone, Längenfeld
Dedicated to the father of the Alpine Club, Pastor Franz Senn. Born in Unterlängenfeld on March 19, 1831, he died in Neustift im Stubaital on January 31, 1884. He was one of the founders of the German Alpine Club in 1869 and is also known as the "Glacier Pastor."

The pastor and mountaineer Franz Senn was born on March 19, 1831, in Längenfeld. He was one of the founders of the German Alpine Club. He did a great deal to develop tourism throughout the region. Senn's birthplace still stands and can be viewed from the outside.
