This pigeon house is an exceptional sight. One side is dedicated to St. Wendelin, the patron saint of sheep. The saint was painted by the Peigen artist Hans Lehermeier. "Protect us and our animals," reads the inscription from 2001. The house was extensively restored then, although it is actually many decades older and was originally built of wood. Today, the massive birdhouse has a peacock on top between the four turrets, which shows you which way the wind is blowing.
