In 1928, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the spa town of Bad Hofgastein, a thermal water drinking fountain (Art Nouveau) was set up in the northern corner of Kaiser Franz Square (metal parts: St. Gilgen metalworking shop). The fountain was designed by the Brno-born sculptor Carl Wollek (Karel Volek) (source: Horst Wierer, Bad Hofgastein). As part of the road and bridge widening, this fountain had to be moved back a few meters.
