The River Dalua gently meanders through Island Wood, creating a stunning and scenic atmosphere. The nearby Beara Way trail also passes through the forest, connecting Dunboy in West Cork to Leitrim. In spring, especially from April to May, the area is beautifully adorned with bluebells. Don't miss the unique ‘Twelve Apostles’ tree, which features twelve branches extending from its trunk – a true marvel to see!
