Riga's Town Hall Square (Rātslaukums) is the historic center of the Old Town. Surrounded by important buildings such as the House of the Blackheads, the Town Hall, and St. Peter's Church, it has been the scene of markets, festivals, and political events since the Middle Ages. Destroyed during World War II, it was faithfully rebuilt. Today, it is a popular place to linger, take photos, and host events—especially atmospheric during the Christmas season.
