Despite the obvious signs, you may be tempted to cycle across the weir as it's quicker...
I recommend you do not: not only this is shared path and you may cross paths with pedestrians, but the surface can also be sketchy and slippery in places and getting on and off the walkway without dismounting may be hazardous.
