    Road cycling

One of the best views in the Lakes. A terrible surface down though. Take care.

Coming up from sticklebarn side is probably more scenic but MUCH steeper. I biked up the Wrynose Pass side which was only a tiny section of 25% so a lot easier. Coming down the other side with my brakes squeaking !

    Road cycling

The descent down from Blea Tarn into the great Langdale valley or a steep climb the other way.
This road can be used to join Greater and Little Langdale or to go from Great Langdale to the Hardknott pass.
Very pretty if you stop for the views but you'll need to concentrate on the road when riding.
The descent is on the Fred Whitton challenge.
