Hiking
Even though the quarry is no longer open to the public, it's a fascinating place. The sheer size of the crater is impressive – it gives you an idea of how much labor and technology was once required to mine rock. From a safe vantage point, you can marvel at the steep cliffs and the depths. What's particularly exciting is that some of the quarries are home to rare animals and plants that have adapted to the unique environment. This is a real insider tip for nature and geology enthusiasts.
