"As a hill above Selters, the "Wacht" is a popular destination for walks and a meeting place for many a campfire. Very early ancestors were also active at this site, as evidenced by the discovery of 30 finished tools and numerous flint splinters. They testify to a settlement in the Neolithic period (4000 to 1800 BC) on the municipal boundary between Selters and Nordhofen. Arrowheads and knife blades, scrapers, rippers, and awls, as well as the numerous splinters, suggest that these tools were also manufactured at the site."
