The new park, or the old? This extension is a fine example of historical landscape. The marshy meadow looks exactly the same as it did 300 years ago.
Between 1771 and 1778, Joseph de Ferraris made detailed maps of the Austrian Netherlands on behalf of Empress Maria Theresia of Austria. You will recognize the same canals, meadows and rows of trees.
