Munkebo Bakke has one of the most beautiful views on Funen. The hill is 58.4 meters high and the observation tower at the top is a landmark of the hill's historical significance.
In the Viking Age, the hill had great strategic importance as a watch post.
The tower on Loddenhøjen was built in 1993 as a replacement for the old observation tower from the 1890s. It is free to visit Munkebo Bakke.

Funen's most beautiful view – enjoy it from The Hill and from the top of the tower, which is 58 m above sea level – or sit in the Viking ship – there is a copy of the Ladby ship – and dream of sailing around the world - You can also immerse yourself in the many panels with marked Viking finds and, last but not least, in the information house, where the history of The Hill is illustrated. There is a disabled toilet in the information house.
