Monday 30 November 2025 marks the one hundred and tenth anniversary of the inauguration of the Convalecencia building. On that day, more than a century ago, the building in the heart of Murcia was inaugurated, coinciding with the feast of Saint Andrew, the patron saint of the charity.
Since 1987, it has been the seat of the Rectorate of the University of Murcia. Writers and artists, ambassadors, rectors, businessmen and politicians have passed through the building, underlining the close ties with society of a hundred-year-old university.
