The New Schranne in Nördlingen was originally planned as an extension of the Old Schranne, but was ultimately built separately. It served as a central storage and trading center for grain and featured a large hall on the ground floor where the delivered grain was stored.

The new Schranne (built in 1865) was originally planned as an extension of the old Schranne, but was built separately from it. It contained a large ground floor hall for the delivered grain. From the 1960s/70s, the local police station was housed here. Today it is the headquarters of the savings bank.
