The Westerholter Forest (Westerholter Str./Ostring) is a fairly large mixed forest area on the edge of the Buer district. There was a so-called lion park here for a while, but it is now a thing of the past. You can roam through the forest without fear of big cats of prey, get some fresh air and enjoy nature. Today, normal forestry is practiced here without sometimes grumpy guests from the African savannah."
