The chapel, located along the Via Francigena, was originally built in 1656, but was subsequently extensively remodeled and its current appearance dates back to the mid-1800s. Two frescoes depicting San Grato and San Lorenzo are painted on the façade. The chapel is surrounded by vineyards that extend over gentle slopes, with a southern exposure that ensures relatively mild temperatures even in the winter months.
