When we hiked the Sioux-Hustler Trail in 1970, there was no visible trail to the top of this promontory. Because of the scant undergrowth, it was easy to climb. At the top, we found the foundations of the Sioux River Lookout Tower. From the promontory, there was a good view of Little Shell Lake.
