House Ostendorf was formerly a manor. Today, a contractor has settled in the Fuhrhof of the castle. The manor is located on the disused railway line Wesel-Dorsten-Haltern in the immediate vicinity of the Lippe. The owners of the Wasserburg used to control the shipping traffic on the Lippe.
