The Monument to the Millennium of the Polish Cavalry in Warsaw, unveiled in 1994, commemorates the history of Polish cavalry and cavalry. The sculpture by Mieczysław Naruszewicz depicts a Piast armoured man and an uhlan, symbolising the beginning and end of Polish cavalry formations. The monument was originally intended to be placed on Trasa Łazienkowska, but due to unstable ground it was moved to the Polish Cavalry roundabout. The column features plaques with the most important cavalry battles, made from artillery shells. In 2018, the monument was rotated to better blend in with its surroundings.
