Road cycling
The church was probably built in the second half of the 14th century following the waves of plague that ravaged Italy at that time. It was dedicated to San Rocco, the patron saint of plague victims.

Road cycling
It took the place of an ancient chapel of which the fresco in the background was saved, where a Crucifixion is depicted with St. Rocco and the Virgin on the left and the Saints Cosma and Damiano on the right. In the side panels we still find St. Rocco and - perhaps, on the left - St. Maurizio: it is a work of good quality created around 1520 by the workshop of Sperindio Cagnoli.
