The Church of St. Nicholas is the largest church in the ancient town of Perast.
The church acquired its current appearance in 1616, probably after the extension of an earlier church from 1564. Restoration work took place in 1699. Next to the old Church of St. Nicholas, at the back, there is an unfinished church designed by the Venetian architect Giuseppe Beati.
