In the years 2020-2023, large-scale nature restoration work will be carried out in the area around the Leegveld and the adjacent Deurnsche Peel and the Liesselse Peel by Waterschap Aa en Maas, commissioned by the province of Noord-Brabant. The intended goal: to strengthen 940 hectares of nature reserve in the Deurnsche Peel, by creating new nature and measures to retain water.
