At Kappel, religious differences were fought twice in two years. While a peaceful solution could still be found with difficulty in the first time in 1529 (Kappeler's milk soup), the Zurich reformers were beaten pretty quickly in 1531. Among other things, the reformer Huldrych Zwingli died.
Supposedly exactly where the Zwingli monument stands today.

The place is not only recommended for those interested in history - it is ideal for a short break and a rest under the beautiful big trees.
