"Privisins" was the name of a priory located in the deanery of Aubonne which grouped the parishes of the diocese of Geneva, north of the Rhône. This road is named after the French village to which it leads.
A large part of this road saw heavy traffic between Switzerland and France; then it was closed to motor vehicles in 2011 to make way for an unpaved road.
This is the first dismantling of a road in Switzerland in favor of nature.
