The only fire control bunker in the Atlantic Wall that was camouflaged using roof shingles. Still surprisingly well preserved despite wind and weather.

The standard 636 model served on the Atlantic Wall for observation and battery command during anti-ship warfare. The observation post, with a front width of 2 meters, allowed a traverse of 180°, 210°, or 240°. To protect the rangefinder, the platform on the roof of the structure could be covered with a reinforced concrete slab as needed. The standard 636 model also provided accommodation for 2 officers and 12 non-commissioned officers and enlisted men.
