The trail is easily accessible and conveniently located near Downtown Blairsville, making it simple to combine your walk with a visit to local cafes or restaurants. Pets are welcome on a leash, and if you're hiking during hunting season, wearing bright colors is a good idea as the adjacent Army Corps property allows hunting.

Beyond the natural beauty, the Blairsville Riverfront Trail Loop is rich in history, tracing the path of a prehistoric Monongahela village site and remnants of the 19th-century canal system, including the Towpath Culvert. You can also spot the site of a former Glass Works and the Thomas Maher Portal from an old mine.
