    This beautiful 102-acre community park surrounds two lakes with gorgeous green space. It includes a short 1.1 mile (1.77 kilometers) trail for hiking and biking, a nature trail with nice benches and interpretive signs, observation areas, wildflower meadows, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, a butterfly garden, and plenty of parking. It's an ideal place to stop and stretch your legs or take a long break after a ride.

    If you're after a road cycling experience that blends a good workout with pleasant North Texas scenery, the Yates Corner Grocery – Horseshoe Trail loop is worth considering. This route guides you through the Southlake area, offering views of the unique Cross Timbers ecosystem and even glimpses of Lake Grapevine. The paved Horseshoe Trail section, running alongside Denton Creek, provides a smooth and enjoyable stretch, making for a varied and engaging ride.

    Starting conveniently near the Grapevine Vintage Railroad Historic Train Depot, this moderate 40.2 miles (64.8 km) loop with 1313 feet (400 metres) of elevation gain is best tackled with a good level of fitness, taking roughly 2 hours and 53 minutes. Plan for an early start, especially if you're riding in warmer weather, to make the most of the cooler morning hours.

    One of the standout features of this route is Yates Corner Grocery, which offers a fantastic opportunity to take a break, grab some refreshments, and use the picnic facilities. The Horseshoe Trail itself is a popular and well-maintained paved path, ensuring a smooth ride for most of the journey.
