Translated, this means something like "Upper and Lower Feldteich". Governor Willem III. At the end of the 17th century, had rectangular fish ponds built, which in 1820 were redesigned into two large, oval field ponds. The Löwenbrücke at a small overflow separates the Hohen Feldteich from the Niedere Feldteich. The royal family (i.e. the high lords) swam in the "High Pond", and the staff bathed in the "Lower Pond".
