A Melkhus is a true specialty of the North. Melkhus is an official, protected name of rest areas in Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, which are mainly located on bike paths, usually connected to a farm. You can refresh yourself here with a glass of fresh milk, various dairy products or even a cup of coffee. A little insight into the regional agriculture and often also a few tips for the onward journey, there's free. ;)
As a rule, the milking halls are open daily from 11 am to 6 pm from April to September.
