The chapel was built and consecrated in 1868.
To the left, outside the chapel, is the Calvary, dedicated to Abbot Haro (1871–1911) and Abbot Anatole Basselin (1852–1926). It depicts elements of the Crucifixion and bears the inscription "O Crux ave, spes unica" ("Hail, O Cross, our only hope").
