The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Tongre, located in Tongre-Notre-Dame, a village south of Ath, in western Hainaut (Belgium), is a very old place of Marian pilgrimage: it dates back to 1081. The current basilica dates from 1777; it was built on the foundations of a 13th century Gothic church.
