To the west of Neustädter Bucht is the Sierksdorf / Hof-Altona (EDXT) airfield. It is one of the smallest in Germany, with a grass runway of 500m. It was founded in 1975 and is now registered as a special airfield. The Sierksdorf / Hof-Altona (EDXT) airfield is mainly used by parachutists. Aerobatics, classic car shows and parachuting take place regularly.

Hof Altona airfield is located in the beautiful nature of Sierksdorf. Not far from the Baltic Sea. The coast is only 900 m away. In the midst of meadows and fields can spend a great day relaxing at the local bistro. There is also a small hangar and of course a 500 m long grass track. A small special is also that you can rent bikes here and explore the Lübeck Bay with them.
