Wooden ships were built in Schülp between approximately 1759 and 1779.
The last, a "Cojüt ship," was built at the Christian Mohr shipyard under the direction of Hans Bock and Hans Frahm.
Shipbuilding in Schülp ended with the construction of the Schleswig-Holstein Canal.
