The Marnix de Sainte-Aldegonde castle, also known as the Bornem castle, is located in Bornem, on the Oude Scheldt. The castle, built on old castle foundations from the 10th or 11th century, has a neo-Gothic style and houses an extensive collection of paintings, furniture from the 18th century, engravings by Pieter Breughel the Elder, a lace room, a room with antique dolls and a carriage museum in an outbuilding.
