You'll traverse peaceful wooded sections and open meadows before reaching the tranquil Baker's Meadow pond, a highlight known for its abundant birdlife and serene wetland views.

    Starting conveniently near Andover High School, this trail connects you to the broader network of the Baker's Meadow Reservation, often via the Indian Ridge Reservation. The trails are open from dawn to dusk, making it easy to fit into your day. Parking is generally available near the high school, and while dogs are welcome on a leash, mountain biking is prohibited to preserve the natural environment.

    This reservation is a true ecological gem, historically a muskrat farm in the 1920s and now preserved by the Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS). It's a haven for wildlife, with over 145 species of birds, including herons and migrating ducks, frequently spotted. You might also catch a glimpse of muskrat, mink, or beaver, with their lodges visible around the pond, adding a unique natural history element to your hike.
