Embark on the Crabtree Creek and House Creek Trail Loop, an easy touring bicycle route spanning 17.0 miles (27.4 km) with a gentle elevation gain of 476 feet (145 metres). You can expect to complete this ride in about 1 hour and 38 minutes. The route guides you along scenic paved paths beside Crabtree Creek, where you'll find gently flowing water and lush wooded areas. A highlight is the 730-foot concrete boardwalk stretching across Crabtree Lake, offering expansive views and a chance to spot local wildlife. While mostly flat, be ready for a few moderately hilly sections, particularly after Milburnie Road, which add a bit of variety to your journey.

Planning your visit is straightforward, as you'll find multiple parking areas conveniently located along the Crabtree Creek Greenway for easy access to the trail. Keep in mind that certain sections of the House Creek or Crabtree Creek trails, especially around the I-440 area, can become quite busy. These parts feature short straightaways and blind turns, so it's wise to stay alert and aware of your surroundings to ensure a smooth and safe ride.

This loop is notable for its excellent opportunities to observe nature, including the chance to see bald eagles and herons, especially from the Crabtree Lake boardwalk. The trail's design, featuring primarily paved asphalt paths, makes it accessible for a wide range of cyclists. It offers a pleasant blend of natural scenery and well-maintained infrastructure, making it a popular choice for a relaxed outing in the area.
