In place of the former Salvator Chapel, the Friars Minor built the Minorite Church as a monastery church between 1255 and 1275. The choir was renewed around 1350. The three-aisled Gothic pillar basilica is the order's largest church in southern Germany and, after the Regensburg Dominican Church, the largest mendicant order church in the area.
