The name "Poglina" derives from poddine, meaning flour, like the impalpable sand of this beautiful beach, also known as "della Speranza", from the locality where it is located. The latter takes its name from the small church of Our Lady of Hope.
To the north stands the ancient tower of Poglina, built during the Spanish domination, from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama: behind the sandy expanse you will see a thick and colorful Mediterranean scrub.
